Schroders launches an emerging markets debt fund on Solana via Centrifuge, bringing traditional asset management to on-chain RWA infrastructure.

Schroders has launched an emerging markets debt fund on the Solana blockchain through a partnership with Centrifuge, a tokenization protocol for real-world assets. The move represents an integration of traditional asset management with on-chain infrastructure designed to bring regulated financial products into decentralized finance.
Centrifuge operates as infrastructure for tokenizing and distributing bonds, credit instruments, and equities across multiple blockchains. The protocol enables asset managers to issue and manage portfolios in programmable vaults that connect to DeFi markets while preserving offchain compliance and legal structures. The broader tokenized RWA market is approaching roughly $20 billion in aggregate value, with Centrifuge reporting more than $2 billion in tokenized assets onchain as one of the larger dedicated platforms in this space.
The partnership extends a pattern of institutional adoption within the RWA tokenization sector, though specific details regarding fund size, launch timeline, and performance terms remain unclear. The arrangement places emerging markets debt—a traditional fixed-income product—into a blockchain environment where it can be traded and used as collateral continuously, a structural shift from conventional finance operations.
