VerifiedX launches $15M financing round with Cantor Fitzgerald to build institutional Bitcoin custody and lending infrastructure.
VC & Fundraising ·
VerifiedX Foundation has announced a $15 million financing round with Cantor Fitzgerald serving as investment banking partner. While the project has secured some initial institutional capital, specifics on deployment amounts and the identities of participating investors have not been revealed. The capital will support institutional Bitcoin distribution, custody integrations, centralized exchange listings, and lending infrastructure buildout.
The initiative includes expanded custody integration with BitGo to support vBTC and vBTC.b tokens on the Base network, alongside efforts to list both vBTC and VFX, the project's native token, on centralized exchanges. These infrastructure layers are designed to address institutional demand for custody and trading access to Bitcoin-backed assets.
What remains undisclosed are the actual capital commitments from institutions so far and which exchanges have committed to listings. The timeline for achieving these integrations and achieving exchange availability is also not specified in the announcement.
