Decentralized exchange StandX announced shutdown.

Perpetual derivatives exchange StandX announced it will wind down operations following a strategic review of business and market conditions. The platform will distribute a one-time DUSD airdrop to users with no lockup period, funded by remaining project revenue and additional team contributions. Allocations are based on user activity including trading, market making, and referrals, subject to anti-Sybil and wash-trading checks.
Since launching on Mainnet in November 2025, StandX accumulated over 237,000 users and peaked at $200 million in total value locked. The exchange will transition to reduce-only mode for perpetual positions on October 20, preventing new trades while allowing position closure. Yield generation across all vault types ends October 15, with new vault creation and deposits halted. All open positions will be closed at mark price on January 15, 2027, and users must withdraw assets by January 31, 2027, after which DUSD redemption and platform withdrawals cease.
The airdrop eligibility checker launches October 26, with claims open November 1 through December 31. Users who miss the claim window forfeit allocations entirely. Remaining unanswered questions include how quickly exchange operations will fully cease after the January 31 deadline and whether market conditions may change the timeline.
