Falcon Finance and Anchorage Digital Bank launch fUSD, a GENIUS Act-compliant stablecoin offering ~3% annual institutional rewards.
DeFi & Yields ·
Falcon Finance, a synthetic dollar protocol managing $1.58 billion in USDf circulating supply, has announced a partnership with Anchorage Digital Bank and Ceffu to introduce fUSD, a U.S. dollar payment stablecoin. The token is designed to comply with the GENIUS framework and is issued by Anchorage Digital under Office of the Comptroller of the Currency reserve supervision, with monthly attestations conducted by Deloitte.
The GENIUS framework restricts stablecoin issuers from directly distributing yield to token holders. To work within this constraint, Falcon Finance will offer Treasury-backed returns to institutional participants through a separate rewards mechanism rather than embedding payments into the stablecoin itself. This structure allows institutional holders to earn returns while maintaining regulatory compliance.
The specific annual yield rate for institutional holders and the timing of full market availability remain to be detailed in subsequent announcements.
