FalconX has confidentially filed a draft S-1 registration statement with the U.S. SEC and engaged Cantor and other banks to advise on a potential initial public offering. The institutional crypto brokerage targets a listing no earlier than the end of 2026, citing current market conditions as a constraint on timing.
Founded in 2018, FalconX operates a platform delivering digital asset trade execution, liquidity, credit and clearing services to institutional participants such as hedge funds, asset managers and market makers. The company reached an approximately $8 billion valuation during its 2022 Series D financing round. Recently, FalconX partnered with Sygnum Bank to integrate regulated banking with on-chain credit services, launching a tokenized credit offering structured around overcollateralized loans for institutional clients.
The IPO filing remains confidential at this stage, and the firm has not disclosed detailed financial metrics, regulatory approval timelines, or which specific underwriters beyond Cantor will manage the offering. The year-end 2026 target is conditional on market environment shifts and regulatory developments.
