Ripple launches Ripple Mint platform for institutional RLUSD minting and redemption, and invests in Notabene to expand B2B stablecoin payments.
DeFi & Yields ·
Ripple introduced Ripple Mint, a new institutional platform enabling customers to access, mint, redeem, and manage RLUSD across both web and programmatic interfaces. The platform aims to simplify digital dollar operations as stablecoins deepen their role in trading, payments, and treasury workflows. Customers gain the ability to mint and redeem directly from the issuer, transfer the stablecoin across supported blockchains, track transactions end-to-end, and embed RLUSD operations into internal systems. New APIs and webhook notifications allow automated workflows, real-time balance queries, and event notifications tied to key stages like fiat receipt, mint processing, on-chain settlement, and completion.
Separately, Ripple invested in Notabene, a firm building regulated on-chain transaction infrastructure, to integrate RLUSD into Notabene Flow, its B2B stablecoin payments platform. The partnership leverages Notabene's institutional network—spanning more than 2,300 connected entities across over 100 jurisdictions, serving more than 280 customers, and processing more than $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume—alongside Ripple's enterprise payments ecosystem. The collaboration will explore how trusted payment authorization can enhance Ripple Payments.
RLUSD's market capitalization now stands near $1.6 billion, reflecting growth since its launch. Recent expansion milestones include distribution agreements with Japan's SBI Holdings, participation in Singapore's BLOOM initiative for cross-border settlement testing, listing on OKX, and inclusion in Mastercard's stablecoin settlement program. It remains unclear how quickly enterprises will adopt the new Ripple Mint platform or what specific transaction volumes the Notabene partnership will generate.
