Robinhood Chain L2 on Arbitrum surpasses $1B DEX volume in first week, enabling 24/7 tokenized stock and ETF trading across 120+ countries.

Robinhood launched its Layer 2 network on Arbitrum, bringing continuous trading of tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds to users across more than 120 countries through its accompanying wallet application. The new chain exceeded $1 billion in decentralized exchange volume within just over one week of launching on mainnet, signaling early demand for around-the-clock equity trading infrastructure built on blockchain infrastructure.
The layer-2 approach allows Robinhood to settle transactions on Arbitrum's stack while inheriting Ethereum's security model. By tokenizing traditional financial instruments, the platform enables 24/7 market access regardless of traditional stock market operating hours, a capability that would be difficult to replicate outside of blockchain-based systems.
The sustained volume in the opening week demonstrates user interest, though questions remain about growth trajectory and retention beyond the launch period. The extent to which regulatory frameworks across the 120+ countries will adapt to accommodate tokenized equity trading, and whether broader adoption will follow early institutional or retail participation, has yet to unfold.
