Robinhood Chain mainnet launches with AI and RWA focus; Ethereal rebrands to Meridian, dYdX to Arcus, Lighter provides native perpetuals.
DeFi & Yields ·
Robinhood has launched its blockchain mainnet, positioning it as an AI-native platform designed for real-world assets and prediction markets. The network arrives with a stated target audience of over 30 million users, creating potential to onboard a significant number of people to on-chain activity. Robinhood Chain mainnet is now live, according to the company.
Several established protocols are migrating to the network under new identities. Ethereal has rebranded to Meridian, while dYdX is transitioning to Arcus. Lighter is also launching on the chain as a native perpetuals provider integrated into the Robinhood Wallet, offering derivatives trading directly within the ecosystem.
Users wishing to test the network can bridge assets using services like Relay and Jumper. It remains unclear what adoption rates the mainnet will achieve and how the rebranded protocols will differentiate themselves on Robinhood Chain compared to their existing deployments elsewhere.
