Tempo adds BlackRock's BUIDL tokenized USD fund to its onchain yield platform via Securitize infrastructure and Redstone oracles.

BlackRock's USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), a tokenized money market fund with assets exceeding $2.6 billion, is now available on Tempo, a payments-focused Layer 1 blockchain built by Stripe and Paradigm. The expansion brings RedStone's oracle infrastructure to power BUIDL's daily onchain net asset value calculations, interest accrual, and pricing mechanisms on the network.
The integration leverages RedStone's Trusted Single Source Oracle standard, co-developed with Securitize, to unlock collateral and yield-generation opportunities for the fund within Tempo's DeFi ecosystem. Tempo, which launched in March 2026, prioritizes institutional settlement flows and native KYC verification. Since its 2024 launch on Ethereum, BUIDL has expanded to multiple chains and is accepted as collateral on major exchanges and reserve assets across lending protocols.
What remains unclear is the scale of capital flows expected to move through BUIDL on Tempo in the near term and whether other tokenized Treasury funds will follow similar integration paths. RedStone's data layer already supports competing products including VanEck's VBILL and Apollo's ACRED, but the specific utilization metrics on Tempo have not yet been disclosed.
