RWA & Tokenization ·
Real-world assets tokenized on blockchain have reached $39 billion in total value, excluding stablecoins, with tokenized U.S. Treasuries commanding the largest share at $15.86 billion. The tokenized equity segment, though smaller at $2.91 billion, is expanding rapidly across multiple blockchain networks and platforms. Holders of tokenized stocks and ETFs number 3.17 million, representing a 174 percent increase over 30 days, with 5,743 distinct tokenized stocks and ETFs now available and generating $13.31 billion in monthly transfer volume.
Distribution of tokenized equity exposure is concentrated among a few platforms, with Ondo leading at $850 million in holdings, followed by bstocks.finance at $643 million and xStocks.fi at $628 million. Ethereum hosts the largest concentration of RWA value at $17.5 billion, while BNB Chain and Solana hold $5.6 billion and $4.4 billion respectively. Traditional finance entry points are emerging, with Robinhood App recording $144 million in tokenized equities.
The next phase of development hinges on integrating these assets into decentralized finance infrastructure—enabling them to function as collateral, participate in lending protocols, and settle continuously rather than within market hours. Whether tokenized RWAs transition from mere digital representations into fully composable financial primitives remains contingent on DeFi protocol adoption and regulatory clarity across jurisdictions.
