DeFi Kingdoms is sunsetting its DFKChain on August 28 and migrating player assets to Avalanche C-Chain while launching an SDK for third-party developers.

DeFi Kingdoms will shut down its proprietary DFKChain on August 28, 2026, ending operations on the chain while shifting player assets to Avalanche C-Chain. The team has coordinated with Avalanche on the transition and plans to launch a software development kit that will permit third-party developers to build using DeFi Kingdoms' systems, mechanics, and assets. A smooth migration of on-chain player assets is the immediate priority, though the project says further details on timelines and mechanics will arrive in the coming weeks.
Users holding non-DFK assets on DFKChain—including JEWEL, BTC, USDC, ETH, and AVAX—must bridge those tokens to Avalanche C-Chain themselves before the August 28 deadline, as the team cannot migrate or remint those assets. The project notes that JEWEL can already be bridged to Avalanche C-Chain, and that users on smart wallets should transfer holdings to a standard wallet before bridging. All liquidity provider positions must be closed, including those made up of two DFK-native assets.
The long-term vision for DeFi Kingdoms beyond the C-Chain migration remains under development. Further details on DFK-native asset migration, timelines, and the specifics of the SDK launch are pending.
