USDT0 increases Ethereum-Tron bridge liquidity to support single transfers up to $20M.

USDT0 has increased liquidity on its Ethereum-Tron bridge to accommodate single transfers of up to $20 million, according to an announcement from the protocol. The upgrade aims to streamline cross-chain USDT movements between the two networks by reducing friction for larger transactions.
Crosschain bridges like USDT0's operate by locking tokens on a source blockchain and minting wrapped equivalents on the destination, or by burning and minting native assets to maintain collateral backing. Unified liquidity pools reduce slippage and lower borrowing costs, making bridged assets more competitive. However, lock-and-mint models concentrate risk in smart contracts that have historically been lucrative targets for exploitation, as demonstrated by past bridge compromises.
The update reflects broader infrastructure efforts to improve interoperability across fragmented blockchain networks. What remains unclear is whether this liquidity increase involved new capital deployment, protocol-level changes, or a reallocation of existing reserves, and whether similar upgrades are planned for other chain pairs.
