Privy adds TRON support with enhanced transaction, webhook, policy control, and transfer capabilities for stablecoin applications.
DeFi & Yields ·
Privy, a wallet and embedded finance platform, has expanded its support for TRON by rolling out new capabilities including transaction processing, webhooks, policy controls, and transfer functionality. The expansion aims to streamline development of stablecoin applications on the network, which has emerged as a major settlement layer for digital assets processing billions in daily volume at minimal cost.
TRON operates as a layer-1 blockchain using a delegated proof-of-stake consensus model with 27 elected validators, sustaining roughly 2,000 transactions per second with finality under three seconds. Resource costs are assigned based on staked TRX holdings rather than burned per transaction, allowing frequent users to transact effectively without ongoing fees. The network has maintained zero unplanned downtime since its May 2018 mainnet launch.
The enhancement reflects growing integration efforts across the TRON ecosystem. Other recent developments include TRON's integration with Hyperlane for cross-chain messaging across 150-plus blockchains, expanded tokenized real-world asset support through partnerships, and new financial services for autonomous agents. It remains unclear whether Privy's TRON additions will be rolled out in phases or made immediately available to all users.
