Sui co-founder Kostas Kryptos launches Havenex, a regulated exchange for digital and traditional assets, with Series A funding nearing close.
VC & Fundraising ·
Kostas Kryptos, a co-founder of Sui, has announced the launch of Havenex, a regulated exchange designed to serve financial institutions trading both digital and traditional assets. The platform is currently in the middle of closing its Series A funding round and has already filed applications for the regulatory licenses needed to operate.
The exchange architecture incorporates several security and compliance features, including verifiable custody arrangements, continuous solvency verification, multisig signing, quantum-resistant key schemes, hardware-based two-factor authentication, and mechanisms for self-custody with key-loss safeguards. Havenex intends to leverage Sui technology selectively while remaining open to integrating assets, infrastructure, and bridges from other blockchain ecosystems.
Kryptos will take an advisory role with Havenex but plans to maintain his primary focus on Mysten Labs and the Sui network itself. The exact Series A amount and expected close date remain undisclosed.
