Securitize adds Stellar as 17th supported ledger for tokenized assets
RWA & Tokenization ·
Securitize is integrating with Stellar, extending its issuance and compliance infrastructure to a public blockchain described as the fourth-largest network for tokenized real-world assets.
The integration makes Stellar the 17th ledger that Securitize supports, according to a post on X. The addition brings standardized rails for minting and managing tokenized securities to a network that institutional players can now access through the same compliance framework Securitize applies across its other supported chains.
Mechanically, the partnership lets institutional funds and credit issuers draw on Stellar's financial settlement protocol to automate investor onboarding, enforce transfer restrictions, and process corporate actions. These are functions that asset managers typically handle manually or through bespoke systems when issuing securities, and folding them into Stellar's settlement layer is meant to reduce the operational overhead of running tokenized funds on a public ledger.
The move is being framed as part of a broader push toward institutional adoption of tokenization infrastructure, with a second account in the same cluster describing it as a sign that institutional tokenization adoption is accelerating. Two distinct sources are tracking the development, pointing to the integration as a notable step for Stellar's positioning in the real-world asset space rather than an isolated technical update.
What remains unspecified is which asset managers, funds, or credit issuers will be first to use the new rails, and on what timeline issuance on Stellar will begin. Also unclear is how the integration compares in scope or asset volume to Securitize's existing support across its other 16 ledgers, or whether additional compliance features specific to Stellar's settlement protocol will be rolled out in phases. Further detail on adoption and usage will determine whether the integration translates into measurable issuance activity on the network.
