Robinhood Q3 earnings will report $51.1M in first-quarter Robinhood Chain fees, representing approximately half of Q2 crypto trading revenue.

Robinhood's Q3 earnings presentation tomorrow will disclose $51.1M in fees generated by Robinhood Chain during its first quarter of operation, representing roughly half the crypto trading revenue the company earned in Q2. The chain saw a notable revenue spike in late August driven by a gas backlog that temporarily pushed average transaction fees from $0.002 to $0.298, while weekly transaction volume rose 7.5% during that period. Daily fees have since fallen to approximately $52K in October after Robinhood increased the network's gas target in early September and costs returned to their baseline of 0.02 gwei.
The chain's viability as a standalone revenue engine versus a support layer for Robinhood's broader ecosystem remains unclear. Beyond direct chain fees, growth in related products may generate indirect returns: stablecoin USDG held $693M on the network by end-Q3 (up from $101M on July 1), which could yield roughly $3.8M quarterly in revenue sharing; stock tokens attracted 195K holders and $700M in weekly DEX volume; and the Q3 earnings may reveal how much of Robinhood's Q2 crypto trading activity ($18.3B on the app) flowed through the chain.
Whether management positions Robinhood Chain as core infrastructure supporting other business lines or as an independent revenue stream will likely become apparent during the earnings call.
